How your portrait is made
- We check your photo. Before anything else, one of our designers looks at your photo. If it’s too dark or blurry to do your pet justice, we tell you and ask for another.
- Your pet meets the costume. The designer places your pet’s head into the costume you chose, matching the angle, the light and the colours of the painting style.
- The details are done by hand. Fur is blended into the collar, eyes are brightened, markings are kept exactly where they are on your pet. This retouching is where most of the time goes.
- You see a proof. We email you the portrait before anything is printed. Different crown? Lighter background? Ask – revisions are unlimited and free.
- We print it on canvas, a blanket or a phone case – or email you the digital file.
Why we don’t use AI image generators
Image generators don’t copy your pet – they invent a new animal that looks roughly similar.
