A custom pet portrait isn’t something we pull off a shelf – our artists make it for you, you approve a proof, and then it’s printed and shipped. That’s what makes it such a personal Christmas gift, and it’s also why timing matters. Here are this year’s order-by dates and a few tips to make sure the portrait is under the tree on time.

Dates allow for your proof (2–3 business days), your approval, printing and shipping. Elsewhere in the world, prints take 10–30 business days after approval – order as early as you can, or choose digital.
What happens after you order
- Your artist starts work as soon as we have your photo.
- You get a proof by email and can ask for changes – as many as you like.
- Once you approve, we print and ship your portrait with free shipping and a tracking number – or email the digital file straight away.
Four ways to make sure it arrives in time
- Order early, even without the photo. Tick “No photo yet” on the product page and we’ll email you a link to upload it – your place in the queue is saved.
- Send a good photo the first time. Close-up, eye level, daylight. Our photo guide shows what works.
- Answer your proof email quickly. Every day the proof waits is a day less for printing and shipping.
- Ship it straight to them. At checkout tick “Ship to a different address” – the proof still comes to you, so the surprise is safe.
Missed the date?
You can still give a portrait. A digital portrait is emailed as soon as you approve it – print it at home or a local shop, or reveal it on a phone on Christmas morning. Or give a gift card: it’s emailed instantly (or on the day you choose) and they pick their favourite costume after the holidays.
